Rachel’s Bench is a commissioned piece utilising a reclaimed pine board from the client's previous dining
table. The request was for this board to be turned into a bench for their new dining table.
By resurfacing and refinishing the bench top, we were able to give this piece of wood a new life and a
new purpose. Maple inlays were used for functional and aesthetic purposes. They emphasise where
previous joinery was used while highlighting its pathway over the years.
The base uses reclaimed oak to provide a strong and sturdy platform for the bench.
The whole piece is finished with OSMO PolyX oil to provide a long-lasting and durable protective coating.
